Belmont Trail Subway Mural

slider

My first mural! Having the space to experiment with blocks of bold colour was a real treat. The design transitions from urban townscape, via roads and train tracks (the trail is on old railway line), to woodland and forest as the surrounding area changes. Various Geometric patterns from nature include leaves and the honeycomb patterns of bees. The design is taken from collages made by pupils at the St joseph's Primary School. Part of a scheme to upgrade the Belmont Trail and encourage parents to use the subway. Many thanks to the all the volunteer painters and assistants.
